SDI Courses
SDI was created in 1998 only 4 years after the sister company TDI was established. TDI is focusing beyond of recreational diving.
After 4 successful years it was the time to create a agency for recreational diving based on their technical diving experience.
Diving is constantly changing. SDI brings innovations in scuba diving education, like
First to make online open water training mainstream.
First to present online specialties such as wreck, computer nitrox, deep and navigation.
First and only insured sport-level Solo Diver™ program.
First to release kids’ diving programs.
First to allow you to teach “as they dive,” permitting students to learn to dive utilizing a Personal Dive Computer (PDC).
SDI course materials are state-of-the-art; the materials are lavishly illustrated with photography and graphics. SDI focus is to make the experience of diving one that is enjoyed by every family member.
SDI as a member of the World Recreational Scuba Training Council (WRSTC) our courses follow the international standards.
The scuba diving programs are standardized, but the names are not. Different agencies may call the same programs on different names.
You can see here our “Recreational Sport Diver Equivalences” table with 2 another agencies.
